Graduate Student Internships

At Paramount Pediatrics, we are committed to giving back to the field of speech-language pathology by providing meaningful internship opportunities for graduate students. We believe that supporting the next generation of clinicians strengthens our profession and helps ensure that children and families continue to receive high-quality, evidence-based care.
 

What makes an internship at Paramount Pediatrics unique is our focus on bilingual and multicultural service delivery. As one of the leading bilingual pediatric therapy clinics in Cobb County, we provide experiences that are often difficult to find in traditional clinical placements. Our clinicians work with children and families from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, with a large portion of our caseload consisting of Spanish-speaking families.

Interns gain firsthand experience in culturally responsive care, including:
 

• Working with bilingual and multilingual children.

• Learning how culture and language influence assessment and intervention.

• Participating in family-centered care with diverse populations.

• Developing skills to collaborate effectively with multilingual caregivers.

• Applying evidence-based practices that respect and support each family's cultural and linguistic background.
   

Our internship program offers graduate Speech-Language Pathology students hands-on clinical learning experiences in a supportive pediatric setting. Interns have the opportunity to observe and participate in evaluations, therapy sessions, caregiver education, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration while receiving mentorship from experienced clinicians.
 

At Paramount Pediatrics, we believe that cultural responsiveness is not simply a topic discussed in the classroom; it is integrated into our daily clinical practice.
